Janie Chester Young

Janie brings four decades of fundraising and non-profit management experience to her role. Prior to joining Middlebury in 2006, she held advancement positions at St. Paul’s School (New Hampshire), Moses Brown School (Rhode Island), and enjoyed an earlier career as a museum educator and director. She holds a BA in art history and English literature and an MA in museum practice, both from the University of Michigan. Off duty, Janie is a reader, walker, and avid film and theatre buff.
