Another First for Twilight

The Vermont Statehouse recently unveiled a portrait of Alexander Twilight, Class of 1823, the first person of African descent to serve in a state legislature and to graduate from a U.S. college. His is the first (and only) portrait of a person of color to hang in the statehouse.
