‘Don’t Look Up’ and Science Denial Myths

The protagonist scientists at the center of the satirical movie Don’t Look Up fight an uphill battle to convince the public of a world-destroying comet headed toward Earth, an allegory of climate change denial. Psychology professor Barbara Hofer uses the film to illustrate several myths that feed science denial, and she encourages readers to act decisively and collectively against climate change.
