National Economic Council Director Brian Deese ’00 will be making a preplanned departure from the Biden administration this month after two years as the president’s top economic advisor. He helped shape a $1.9 trillion aid package to pull the nation from the pandemic recession, as well as bipartisan measures to invest in infrastructure, and he gave an optimistic economic assessment recently on PBS’ NewsHour.
