Elle Murata ’17 shared her dual experience as a patient and researcher in a TEDx talk about the treatment of women in health care. A PhD neuroscience student who studies the impact of sex hormones on the brain, Murata nevertheless faced barriers in getting diagnosed and treated for polycystic ovarian syndrome.
