Reservations and Access

AFC After-Hours Access
At the start of each academic year, the AFC staff automatically gives students after-hours access to the center so they may cook, study, hang out, utilize the salon, host student organization meetings or events, or show up for tutoring or peer career advising services after classes.
Access is predicated on the understanding that the AFC is a communal space and that every person who uses the spaces after hours must take care of the space as if it is their home. Hours remain open generally, but get adjusted all the way up to no access depending on the overall upkeep of the center. Access is sometimes revoked if there are too many incidents of students leaving the center in poor conditions.
Space Reservation Request Instructions
The AFC has four reservable spaces: The Main Lounge on the main level, the Four Angels Lounge located in the basement, the AFC Kitchen, and Salon AFC. The kitchen is reservable but must be requested as a collective reservation that includes the main lounge.
There is not enough room between the main lounge and kitchen to reserve those spaces separately at the same time. All requests to use the AFC will be reviewed by the AFC professional staff.

Required Steps for Reserving the Salon
Individual Use Of The Salon
Students are now able to utilize the salon space by filling out the access form and getting the code to the door. Students are required to read through the entire agreement and fill out all required information in the form. It will not submit with any section missing a response. Salon use by individual students will continue on a trial basis. Pending there is no incidence of misuse of the space, access will continue on a permanent basis.
Request here, at go/afcsalon/ or at direct link https://forms.gle/CwBE1WEhYGij4FoA6
Request the Salon for Hair Events
Student organizations, faculty, and staff can request use of the AFC salon for events by emailing the AFC Director. Requests should be made well in advance since this is a community space meant for student use, and also a space for schedule professional haircare. You can see when the space is reserved here for your planning purposes.
