Celebrate 60 Years of Mentoring

The Middlebury College Community Friends program celebrated 60 years of mentoring relationships in 2020! Originally supported by Counseling Services of Addison County, The Center for Community Engagement now advises student leaders to coordinate the program. 

Almost 5,000 participants were impacted by Community Friends in its first sixty years (it started in 1960), and there are currently 110-140 pairs of mentors and mentees meeting on a regular basis on campus. To honor the 60th anniversary milestone, we gathered stories of mentoring from past and current participants, which we synthesized into an audio story.
