    Chellis House Open House

    Join us for an afternoon exploring Chellis House, the home of the Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies Department and the Feminist Resource Center. Meet faculty, staff, and students involved in Chellis and learn about upcoming events, programming, and opportunities. Snacks and refreshments will be available, as well as some cool merch. If you’re interested in building feminist community on campus, this is a great way to get involved!

    This lecture-demonstration journeys from the traditional soundscapes of the Mongolian steppe to the creative and dynamic innovations of the global present. Through a combination of musical sound and spoken lecture, listeners will be transported into the complex and interconnected sound worlds of Mongolia, Tuva, and Inner Mongolia. This event will feature Inner Mongolian musicians and co-founders of the Chicago-based duo Hun Hazy, Tamir Hargana and Naizal Hargana, along with researched commentary by Skidmore ethnomusicologist, Charlotte D’Evelyn.

    Ballet returns to the Dance Department this Fall. Classical Ballet technique in traditional ballet class structure. No pointe shoes, please.Each session is open to a maximum of 20 participants. PE credit is available for attendance at 8 classes. Previous dance experience in any form is recommended. Open to Middlebury students only.

This interactive session will provide you with the opportunity to practice using a real fire extinguisher in a controlled environment while learning essential fire safety techniques. Whether you’re new to using extinguishers or just need a refresher, this is a great chance to build your confidence and preparedness. All are welcome—don’t miss it!
