    Bi-Weekly Middlebury Debate Society meetings will allow members to improve their oratory skills while engaging in a fun and welcoming community. By practicing British Parliamentary debate our members can better represent our college while competing at other schools.

    Students present on campus are welcome to join the Rugby Club practices. Led by our coach and club-elected co-captains, practice consists of familiarizing players with ball handling, game rules, plays, and lots of fun!

    Against Wings Paintings by Rebecca Kinkead and Poems by Ben Humphries

    The Johnson Memorial Building’s Exhibition Gallery presents recent works by painter Rebecca Kinkead and poems by Ben Humphries. The pairing of the paintings and poems represents a dialogue between the artists and their reflections/responses to human impacts on the natural habitats of animals and the Earth’s climate.  

    Free and open to the public. Opening reception on October 17th from 5-7PM in the Johnson Memorial Building’s mezzanine and exhibition gallery.

The parties used be clientelistic subnational organizations promising material support or jobs in return for votes. Now the competition between is about policy positions. How did that change happen?

In her new book, Wendy Pearlman (Northwestern University) draws upon hundreds of interviews conducted across more than a decade to probe an intimate and universal question. What is home? Syrians now on five continents share stories of leaving, losing, searching, and finding (or not finding) home.
