    The Hunt

    The Hunt is a 72 hour campus-wide scavenger hunt at the end of J-term. This year’s Hunt dates from Thursday Jan. 19th 1:00pm to Sunday Jan. 22nd at 1:00pm. Students compete in teams to complete various clues created by the all-powerful Hunt Masters, with an award of $1,000 to the winning team. go/thehunt

  • Screening Ainu: Indigenous People of Japan With Special Guest Naomi Mizuguchi

    Calling all people interested in Japanese Culture, World History, History and Culture of Indigenous Peoples, Linguistics, East Asian Studies, and Film! We will be doing a Screening of Naomi Mizoguchi’s 2019 Documentary “Ainu: Indigenous People of Japan!” Prior to the documentary, we will be doing a small presentation about Ainu Culture and answering any basic questions concerning. After the documentary, we have the wonderful opportunity to be meeting the Documentary’s creator Naomi Mizoguchi over zoom! We will be able to ask her questions concerning the Ainu People and filmmaking!

    An engaging and fun way to experience and learn about Israeli art and culture.
    Each week will provide something new and different according to students’ requests - including making art and learning calligraphy; Mystical topics of spells, amulets, and witchcraft in ancient Judaism and contemporary Israel; watching Israeli films and shows; graffiti in Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem; listening to Israeli music; meeting interesting people from various sectors of Israel; and cooking and eating lots of Israeli foods.

    It’s Middlebury College’s very first improv jam, probably! Head on over to the Axinn Abernethy Room at 8 pm this Thursday for some fun, low-stakes improv. We’ll be putting everyone’s names in a hat, and creating totally random improv teams for some extra exciting fun! Hosted by The Otter Nonsense Players and Middlebrow, It’ll be a blast.
