    The Game of Go as a Window to Japanese Arts and Traditions

    The game of go is the oldest and most challenging of all board games. Its myriad aspects reflect the arts, religions, and traditions of the cultures where it was nurtured and developed. We will introduce the game and develop several of these key connections.

  • Jillian Meyers with ballons

    Dance for Camera Movement Matters with Jillian Meyers

    This workshop is open to anyone interested in learning about dancing and choreographing for the camera. Jillian Meyers is an Emmy Nominated LA based Choreographer who has been an assistant to Brian Friedman, Tovaris Wilson, Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Gil Duldulao and Mandy Moore. She worked with Moore on the award winning film La La Land and both herself and Moore earned Emmy nominations for their work on the hit series Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. Myers has been fortunate to work with leading musical acts such as The Lumineers, Vance Joy, Hozier, Janet Jackson, and more.

We are aiming to help students learn how to optimize LinkedIN outreach and learn to network in addition to discussing personal branding strategies and the ins and outs of using LinkedIN as a platform.

    Students present on campus are welcome to join the Rugby Club practices. Led by our coach and club-elected co-captains, practice consists of familiarizing players with ball handling, game rules, plays, and lots of fun!

Whether you’re interested in language learning, cultural exploration, or simply want to connect with others who share an interest in Hebrew and/or in Israeli culture, this is a great opportunity to share your ideas and get involved.

    * The club is mainly conducted in English, with a little Hebrew sprinkled in. No prior knowledge of Hebrew is required—everyone is welcome!

    INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED Ballet with Barbara Doyle-Wilch

    Classical Ballet technique in traditional ballet class structure. No pointe shoes, please. Each session is open to a maximum of 20 participants. PE credit is available once 8 classes have been attended.

    Previous dance experience in any form is recommended.
