    Serving in the Peace Corps is a tremendous way to launch a career in the international arena. Stop by the Davis Library and talk to Bill Bridgeford, who has held positions in international development in the Marshall Islands, Myanmar, and most recently, in North Macedonia, as a Peace Corps Volunteer.

    Mark your calendars for the Student Activities and Student Services Fair on September 19, 4:30-6:00 PM in front of McCullough Student Center. Come learn about over 170 orgs and initiatives on campus and help us kick off the semester!  This year the Center for Community Engagement’s MiddAction Fair will also be part of this event – over 40 local non-profit organizations and schools will share opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to get involved with volunteering, social justice, and service-learning activities. go/middlink to learn more about student organizations at Midd.

    Beginning/Intermediate BALLET with Barbara Doyle-Wilch

    Ballet returns to the Dance Department this fall. Classical Ballet technique in traditional ballet class structure.
    No pointe shoes, please.
    Each session is open to a maximum of 20 participants.
    PE credit is available for attendance at 8 classes. Previous dance experience in any form is recommended.

  • CrossFit Middlebury

    Crossfit Middlebury hosts 1 hour workouts open to all students. Crossfit is “constantly varied, high-intensity functional movement” — a mix of gymnastics, weightlifing, and cardio.     Anywhere from 80 to 95 percent of college students procrastinate according to the American Psychological Association (APA). Learn about why humans procrastinate and some useful frameworks for making sense of this issue. We will then share some practical long-term and short-term strategies to improve focus so that you can take more control over your life and your academic experience.

    You are invited to attend an upcoming information session to learn more about the Hopkins-Nanjing Center (HNC), a graduate educational collaboration between Nanjing University and the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Students take multidisciplinary coursework in Chinese, live in a bilingual community, and build professional skills for their future careers. The HNC is committed to cross-cultural learning, open academic research and inquiry, and advanced bilingual education.
