  • Bachata & Cuban Salsa

    In this workshop, you’ll learn the basic steps and movements of two of the world’s most beloved partner dances! These beginner classes will focus on individual technique, introduce you to partner dancing (leading and following), and share about the culture of the dance forms.

     
    These will be beginner classes — no prior experience necessary! The only prerequisite is your eagerness to learn and have a great time.
     
    No partner needed for sign-ups. You may sign up as an individual.

    Crossing the Invisible Language Boundary: The Effect of Language Immersion on Lexical Access in Bilinguals

    In a multilingual world, understanding how bilinguals navigate between languages offers key insights into language use and memory. In this talk, we will discuss eye-tracking reading studies (including one conducted with Middlebury language schools) that examine how changes in the language environment impact the speed at which bilinguals retrieve words from another language.

    Hands-On Help with Your Internship Search

    This is a time for you to dig in and find something to do this summer!  There will be active support from peer career advisors who will be available to assist you in your searching.  Come with specific ides of the type of thing you’re looking for, or just a general idea is fine too.  Peer advisors can show you resources and tools to help you navigate the search the best way possible in Handshake, Midd2Midd and more.  This is not a lecture, so get ready to be busy and make progress!
