    Every Tuesday morning (9:00 – 10:30) during Winter Term, the CTLR Lounge will be reserved as a quiet space for Writing in Community. We are happy to support you in the production of your scholarly and creative work. Light breakfast food as well as coffee and tea will be available for those who want to make progress on their work in the presence of colleagues who aim to be equally productive.

    Chase the winter doldrums away with some soothing piano music and hot cocoa at the MAC!

    Take a little break from the cold and cozy up in the MAC lobby with cocoa and cookies while we treat you to some calming tunes on the piano. Whether you’re passing through to class, taking a lunch break, or staying a while to study, we invite you to experience the warm and relaxing vibe inside the MAC—no matter the temperature outside. Featuring student pianists Scott Li ’23.5, January 9th and Kai Fukuda ’23.5, January 23rd. Open to Middlebury students, faculty, and staff.

  • Weekly Politics Luncheon

    Students, staff, alumni and the public are invited to attend this weekly nonpartisan discussion of recent political events, hosted by Professor Matthew Dickinson.     Now is the time to start planning your summer internship! Learn strategies for finding or creating the best summer internship for you.

    At this session, we will:
    • Help you focus your search based on interest, geography, and other factors that matter to you.
    • Highlight top resources to use in the search process.
    • Discuss strategies for applying to posted positions or creating your own experience.
    • Give you examples of past internships Midd students have done.
    • Provide an overview of CCI’s GRANT FUNDING available for unpaid internships.

  • Public Lecture by Michael Metz, Generator Makerspace in Burlington

    Michael, a founder of Generator and alum of Middlebury (‘75), will be presenting an overview of the Generator Makerspace in Burlington as it celebrates its 10th anniversary. He will focus on the role of Generator as catalyst for the creative economy and the important function it serves supporting artists, engineers, hobbyists, early-stage startups, educators, students, communities, and creatives from all walks of life.

    Crossfit Middlebury hosts 1 hour workouts open to all students. Crossfit is “constantly varied, high-intensity functional movement” — a mix of gymnastics, weightlifing, and cardio.
