  • JAmnesty

    Amnesty International at Middlebury will be hosting JAMnesty 2021, a 1-hour long arts festival on Friday, November 5th from 8-9pm in the Gamut room. People will sign petitions aimed at gaining awareness about the refugee crisis and protecting Afghan refugee rights. Performances will include music, dance, and poetry.

    When: Saturday, November 6th, 9am-2pm (register for a 1 hour time slot)
    Where: Middlebury College Snow Bowl
    Who: Anyone (bring your ID!)

    SToPP 5k on the cross-country trail for an organization called The New Agenda that works to bring awareness and fundraise to end sexual assault on campus, amongst many other initiatives. Hosted by Feminist Action at Middlebury and Olivia Haouchine.

  • Hirschfield International Film Series: A Son

    Tunisia, summer 2011. The holiday to Southern country ends in disaster for Fares, Meriem and their 10-year old son Aziz when he is accidentally shot in an ambush. His injury will change their lives as Aziz needs a liver transplant, which leads to the discovery of a long-buried secret. Will Aziz and their relationship survive? In Arabic and French with English subtitles. (1 hour 31 minutes.) Free. A Hirschfield International Film Series event.
