Denver Edwards ’88 is cofounder and managing partner at Bradford Edwards and Varlack, LLP, a law firm whose explicit mission is to eliminate barriers that inhibit the advancement of diverse attorneys, while solving its clients’ most significant business problems. Edwards has held leadership positions in elite organizations throughout his career, including the Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Treasury, Goldman Sachs, and Toyota. He received a law degree from Boston University School of Law in 1994. At Middlebury, Edwards was a leader on the varsity football team, earning All-NESCAC honors his senior year, and a member of the Black Student Union. Edwards has remained connected to Middlebury since graduation. He interviews prospective students; he served on the Alumni Association board; and he has been a resource for students regarding events on campus or in their job searches. Edwards is on the governance committee of the board of directors of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence.
