Q What does the faculty’s recent vote to reduce the number of credits required for graduation from 36 to 34 mean for me?
The change to reduce the credits required for graduation was voted on at the November 8, 2024 faculty meeting and will go into effect for students enrolled in the Fall 2025 semester and later. DegreeWorks Responsive Dashboard FAQ
Q Can I still access the old dashboard?
No, the classic dashboard has been discontinued and is no longer available. However, all of the same information (and more) is available in the Responsive Dashboard format. Students can find their online Degree Progress Worksheet via BannerWeb —>>Student Records & Registration —>>Student Records link.
Q I had my Degree Progress Worksheet bookmarked and now it’s not working. Where can I access it now?
You can access your Degree Progress Worksheet via a link on the Student Records & Registration menu —>>Student Records tab or via this direct link.
Q I get an error when I try to load my degree progress worksheet. Why isn’t it working?
Most often, clearing your browser’s cache and cookies and restarting your browser will work. If you continue to have trouble accessing your worksheet, please contact the helpdesk.
Q Why are my courses applied in different requirement categories?
The upgrade to Responsive Dashboard applied a more refined and sophisticated ‘best fit’ algorithm to your worksheet and as a result, you may notice slight shifts in how courses slot into requirement categories. Keep in mind your audit will continue to refresh as new courses are added throughout the course of your career.
Q How do I get a print-friendly version of my audit?
Click on the printer icon on the top right corner of the screen to create an audit summary that can either be printed or emailed.
Q Only one of my academic advisors is showing in the top block. Why is that?
Only the advisor marked as primary in Banner appears in the top block. However, by clicking on the mail icon opens your contact card where all of your academic advisors are listed.
Q Can I reply to a note my advisor left on my worksheet?
No, only academic advisors have access to create and edit the notes feature.
Q I just dropped a class – when will my audit update the change to my record?
The Responsive Dashboard updates each time you open your audit with data refreshing within just a few moments after changes are made to your record.
Q What if I want to drop a course that is currently being used to satisfy a requirement on my Degree Progress Worksheet?
When in doubt about previously satisfying a requirement now displayed/satisfied by an in-progress course, please work with your advisor or the Registrar’s Office to refresh your Degree Progress Worksheet without using in-progress courses to see if dropping a course impacts any course requirements.
Degree Progress Worksheets will look different over time as the auditor will use a ‘Best Fit’ algorithm to match the course attributes to students’ outstanding requirements. Changes to registration or grades will prompt an overnight assessment to run that in essence shuffles your courses to be most efficiently used.
Q I have been asked to send an official transcript. Can I use the Degree Progress Worksheet as my unofficial transcript?
The purpose of the Degree Progress Worksheet is for tracking the completion of requirements. You should either order an official transcript or access your unofficial transcript in BannerWeb.
