Providing a wide range of engagement opportunities outside the classroom plays a crucial role in fostering student belonging and well-being.

Student organizations are focused on shared cultural, recreational, personal and intellectual interests and foster close-knit communities and a sense of connection. In these organizations students have the autonomy to make decisions, plan events, and set priorities. Active involvement on campus, including in student organizations, enhances investment in the institution, increasing students’ motivation to succeed academically and remain enrolled.

Highlight: Club Sports Thriving

This year brought remarkable success for several of Middlebury’s club programs. Men’s Club Soccer advanced to the regional championships, Cycling qualified for the national championships, and both Men’s and Women’s Ultimate Frisbee captured national titles. Marking the first time in the sport’s history that both the women’s and men’s champions have come from the same institution. And equally exciting, the Women’s Ultimate team has become the winningest Division III program in the history of the sport!
