Find Tutoring

Language Tutors

Work with a tutor on speaking, writing, and study skills for international language courses. See tutor availability and book an appointment online. go/lt

Peer ACEs (Academic Consultants for Excellence)

ACEs are available to help with time management and study skills, and can recommend students to professional staff as needed. Talk to an ACE at a drop-in session in the CTLR (LIB 225) or Q-Center (MBH 202) or schedule an individual appointment. You can also book a consult with a Learning Resources professional. go/ace

Writing Tutors 

Peer writing tutors are an ideal audience for all kinds of academic and personal writing. Tutors guide writers with idea and content development, drafting, revising, and developing effective writing practices. Writing tutoring with professional writers is also available. In addition to the in-person and on-line peer writing tutoring options, which can be scheduled in advance, we offer open drop-in sessions in the CTLR (Davis Library) and students can work with course-embedded tutors in First-Year Seminars and College Writing and Writing and Rhetoric courses. Course-Based STEM Tutors

Course-based peer tutors are available to help in many lower division STEM courses. Check your syllabus, ask your professor, or reach out to the Q-Center to identify the appropriate resources for your course. See go/appt for the current available drop-in sessions or to book an individual tutoring appointment.  

Quantitative Tutors

Quantitative tutoring (Q-Tutoring) is staffed by faculty and staff, with support from peer tutors. All students are welcome to drop in with questions about scientific computing (Excel, Google Sheets, R, Python), basic statistics, and quantitative reasoning (e.g., algebra, fractions, unit analysis, reading graphs). This drop-in space is a valuable resource for students seeking additional support beyond office hours and course-specific peer tutoring. It also serves those looking to develop quantitative skills outside of formal coursework, such as students working on theses or independent projects. Find a Q-Tutoring drop-in session

It’s the Middle of the Night

What do you do when it is the middle of the night, you have a deadline, and you can’t do work? Watch the first two-minute video in this series to get motivated, then choose your path forward by watching video two or three. go/time

Spring Deadlines

UK Scholarships for Graduate Study Nomination Deadline - April 4

Apply to be nominated for a UK scholarship for fall 2025 competition deadlines. This supports graduate study during academic year 2026-2027. If you are nominated, you will continue to work on your final application through the summer for fall 2025 submission. go/uk

Fulbright and Watson Preliminary Application Deadline - April 15

Submitting a preliminary application in April allows you to receive multiple rounds of feedback from a fellowships advisor and create a competitive application for the September deadlines. Later applications are accepted. go/fulbright or go/watson 

Senior Work Project Supplement (SRPS) - April 15

Apply for senior work funding up to $1,200 for summer and early fall 2025 projects. Hoskin and Padma Desai eligible international projects can apply for up to $3,000. Deadline for applications $350 or less is rolling. Open to all disciplines. go/srps

In-Person Health Professions Pop-Up Drop-In Advising in the Q-Center!

Virtual Situational Judgement (SJT) Pop-Up Info Session with Midd Alums

Tuesday, March 18, 7-8 pm ET
Virtual: Via Zoom
Most medical school applicants will need to take one or more Situational Judgement Tests (SJTs) as a component of the medical school application process. Panelists will share what SJT(s) they took, when they took them, how they prepared for the SJT, and what advice they have for future candidates. Participants will be asked to have cameras and mics on to engage directly with our alumni panelists. 

Deconstructing the Medical School Application Process 

Tuesday, 4/1/25 from 7-8PM (ET)
Virtual: Via Zoom
A panel of admissions representatives from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, Tufts University School of Medicine, University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, University of Michigan Medical School, and University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry will candidly discuss how and when the various components of an application are considered and contextualized in their program’s evaluative process.

Break Information

The CTLR will be closed during the college break on March 17-21. Peer tutoring only occurs on nights before classes occur and may be limited adjacent to breaks due to tutor availability. Faculty and staff also have limited availability. Center Hours
