Academic Outreach Endowment Fund
The Academic Outreach Endowment Fund provides financial support to students and faculty who wish to pursue service-learning opportunities and build community involvement into academic coursework.
Kimberly Adams Klintworth’80 and Linda Foster Whitton’80 Education in Action Fund
The Kimberly Adams Klintworth'80 and Linda Foster Whitton'80 Education in Action Fund awards $5,000 to support a summer internship or service project, with a preference for work with underserved populations (domestic and international) in humanitarian and educational capacities. The donors place particular emphasis on projects involving education, noting that such projects, especially those involving women, raise the bar of whole communities. It is their hope that the experience will help foster a lifetime humanitarian commitment. Students may apply individually or as a group. Visit go/summerfunding to apply.
The Tormondsen Family Internship and Service Fund
This fund supports participation in unpaid summer community service initiatives for current domestic students (first years, sophomores, and juniors) who have qualified for financial aid at Middlebury College.
The award is in the form of an additional $2100 grant to a student's financial aid package for the upcoming academic year to offset the summer earnings expectation plus $1,000 in cash for expenses related to the internship or service project.
