About the Alumni Association

The MAA Board represents the interests of all Middlebury alumni. Pictured above are the MAA Board members and alumni office staff members at the 2017 fall meeting on the Middlebury campus.

Middlebury is a lifetime experience. The mission of the Middlebury Alumni Association (MAA) Board is to connect all alumni to each other and to Middlebury in mutually beneficial ways—fostering a community not limited to time or place.

MAA represents undergraduate alumni and graduates and attendees from Language Schools, Bread Loaf School of English, and graduates of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS).

MAA is led by a board of directors, which focuses on continuing education, alumni admissions program, alumni career services, chapter events, young alumni, diversity, alumni nominations, communications, class correspondents, and other initiatives. Learn more about the MAA mission.

The board is currently focused on three priorities:

  • Envisioning Middlebury: Facilitate alumni involvement in the Envisioning Middlebury process; represent the alumni perspective in conversations about the future of Middlebury
  • Connect with Middlebury: Encourage alumni to connect with Middlebury in big and small ways, from meeting local alumni for coffee to volunteering with the Alumni Admissions Program
  • Support the work of chapters: Work with Alumni Office staff and the MAA board liaison to support volunteers and strengthen chapters
