The Italian School

The Middlebury Italian School's summer session takes place at the Mills College campus in California. Please check the Dates and Fees page for dates of the program.

Additional Requirements for the Italian School

In addition to the general application requirements, applicants to the Italian School must submit the following (click here for instructions for the 6-week graduate program):

Online Language Assessment

Once we have received your application and the $75 application fee, the Italian School will email you instructions for the online assessment, which is required for admission to both 7-week language courses and the graduate level of study.

Submission of the online assessment must be completed before your application will be reviewed for an admissions decision.

For those applying to the 7-week program, the purpose of this assessment is to determine the appropriate level of study, rather than to determine admissibility to the program.

By applying for admission, you indicate your willingness to accept the placement level deemed appropriate by the Italian School.
