In 2015, the Spanish School will take place on the campus of Middlebury College in Vermont.
In addition to the general application requirements, applicants to the Spanish School must complete the following (click here for instructions for the 6-week graduate program):
Online Language Assessment
Once we have received your application and the $75 application fee, the Spanish School will email you instructions for the online assessment, which is required for admission to both 7-week language courses and the graduate level of study.
Submission of the online assessment must be completed before your application will be reviewed for an admissions decision. If you have no previous experience of Spanish, you may request an exemption via email. Unless the exemption is granted, your file will not be reviewed without the assessment.
For those applying to the 7-week program, the purpose of this assessment is to determine the appropriate level of study, rather than to determine admissibility to the program.
- Returning 7-week students are required to complete another placement exam.
- If you will have any further Spanish instruction or practice after taking the exam and before the start of the summer session, please notify the 7-week Spanish School coordinator.
By applying for admission, you indicate your willingness to accept the placement level deemed appropriate by the Spanish School.
