Elisabetta Sanino D'Amanda ha studiato Lettere all'universita' di Torino e ha poi lavorato come attrice dal 1986 al 1991 con, tra gli altri, Mimmo Calopresti, Felice Farina, Pupi Avati, Dino Risi.

In seguito ha continuato i suoi studi universitari negli Stati Uniti dove ha ricevuto un diploma postlaurea in pedagogia al Nazareth College nel 2005 e il suo dottorato da Middlebury College nel 2010 con la tesi: "La prospettiva meridiana di Mimmo Calopresti nel nuovo cinema italiano". E' dottoranda del programma di cinema produzione al Rochester Institute of Technology dove ha completato due documentari, "Buono come il pane" (2008) e "Silent Flame" (2009).

Lavora come lettrice di italiano e coordinatrice del programma presso il dipartimento di Lingue e culture moderne al Rochester Institute of Technology dal 2001 e dal 2004 dirige il programma RIT di studi in Italia a Genova.

ITAL 3251 - Intro to Contemporary Italy      

An Introduction to Contemporary Italy

Intended for students at the intermediate level, this course will afford the opportunity to expand conversation, writing, and reading skills while consolidating knowledge of the more difficult points of grammar. The contextual focus of the course is modern Italian culture including history, politics, and literature among other things. Italian films, short stories and essays, will enhance and complete the learning experience.

*Students are also encouraged to participate in all the workshops offered in the evening.*
