STACEY KENT is a Grammy-nominated, Blue Note/EMI recording artist, who began singing professionally after she received her degree in comparative literature from Sarah Lawrence College. She moved to London to study at the Guildhall School of Music. There, Stacey met her future husband, Jim Tomlinson. Stacey and Jim tour together worldwide and her current album, "Dreamer in Concert," has been released in 38 countries. In 2007, Stacey released the Grammy-nominated "Breakfast on the Morning Tram" which achieved Platinum status, and in 2009, she released an all-French album, "Raconte-moi," which earned Gold status. In 2008, Stacey was awarded the "Chevalier dans l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres" from the French Minister of Culture, Christine Albanel.
Stacey and Jim spend much time touring in Portugal and Brazil. Most recently, they performed at the 80th anniversary celebrations of the statue of Cristo Redentor in Rio de Janeiro, where they were the only non-Brazilian artists invited to perform.
Stacey has taken time off from touring in order to study at the Middlebury Portuguese School (2009-2011). In previous years, she also studied at Middlebury's Italian, French and German schools.
