| By January 25 | Students taking mainstream classes must stay in Russia until they have completed their course requirements. Students will not know their exam date until they have registered for the mainstream course, so may wish to confirm their return flight after registration. More and more university courses are offering exam dates before the holiday break in December. |
*Note: Due to variations in the amount of time needed to convert single entry visas into multiple entry visas, we recommend that students wait until the end of the second week in Russia before making unchangeable plans during the fall break/Unity Day holidays.

* Students traveling from Irkutsk are strongly advised to fly to Moscow one day prior to their international flight. Flight delays from Irkutsk are common and there is a risk of missing one’s connecting flight from Moscow if you attempt to fly out on that same day.
** Certain mainstream classes and/or exams may finish earlier than this, but students will not be able to confirm their exam schedules until well into the semester. Those who are concerned about leaving as early as possible would be advised to purchase tickets from an agency where they allow date changes (on a space available basis) for a comparatively small fee.
