Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG) Society Scholarship
Education Majors Entering Student Teaching
The scholarship will be awarded to a Vermont student entering his/her student teaching. The application should be in the form of a letter addressed to the Alpha Chapter Scholarship Committee:

It should provide whatever information the applicant deems supports the purposes of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society and be accompanied by two letters of reference.
Alpha Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International in Vermont, is offering a scholarship to a college student who is preparing for a career in teaching. We expect to award $1000 annually.
Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes the professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. Its purposes are to unite women educators in genuine spiritual fellowship; to honor women who have given or who evidence potential for distinctive service in any field of education; to advance the professional interests and position of women in education; to initiate, endorse and support desirable legislation or other suitable endeavors in the interests of education and of women educators; to endow scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate study and to grant fellowships to women educators from other countries; to stimulate the personal and professional growth of members and to encourage their participation in appropriate programs of action; and to inform the members of current economic, social, political and educational issues that they may participate effectively in a world society.
