Additional Sources of Funding for Study Abroad

If you are in a non-degree program at Middlebury, you may want to explore the option of borrowing a loan through a private source.  These are available through Student Financial Services (select Private Educational Loans).

If you would like to research further sources of financial aid, some options on the web the following.

Financial Aid Web Sites This valuable funding resource allows you to search by country or subject to find the study abroad funding information that you need. This web site allows you to search for financial aid, college scholarships and study abroad scholarships. This site is a resource for financial aid, college scholarship and grant information for US and international students wishing to study abroad.

The University of Minnesota’s Learning Abroad Center's Scholarship Database:
This web site allows you to search for funding and scholarship opportunities.

Michigan State University’s information on scholarships for multicultural students:

Michigan State University’s Web Site: “You Can’t Afford Not To Go: Financing Your Study Abroad Experience”: (while some information on this site is specific to MSU students, there is a good guide to creative fundraising and helpful links).  This web site provides free customized scholarship search after user fills out profile (scholarships are not necessarily specifically for study abroad). This web site provides scholarship (not necessarily specific to study abroad) searches and extensive information about financial aid.
