  • Slow Walk Meditation

    Since the inception of Middlebury College’s Anti-Racist Task Force, the ritual of a slow walk meditation during the opening and closing of our academic terms has been integral to our communal work. The slow walk meditation embodies our individual and collective the journeys towards internal and external change. The slow walk is a way of charting our course, recalibrating our intention, practicing patience, and connecting as a community.

    Crossfit Middlebury hosts 1 hour workouts open to all students. Crossfit is “constantly varied, high-intensity functional movement” — a mix of gymnastics, weightlifing, and cardio. Beginners welcome! Classes meet in Nelson Half Dome.

  • Faithfully Sustainable; Saving Beauty and Truth: The Destruction of Nature and the Islamic Solution

    The event will delve into the role of Islam in promoting environmental stewardship and how it can inspire individuals to take action towards a more sustainable future. Our speakers, Rhamis Kent and Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, will share their insights from their respective works, “Saving Truth and Beauty in a Destructive World: The Islamic Solution” and “Green Deen: What Islam Teaches About Protecting the Planet”.

    Sabotage

    January 1945, four forced laborers women, Estusia Wajcblum, Rosa Robota, Alla Gartner, Regina Safirstein were hanged in public, accused of sabotaging the Nazi war machine.

    Sabotage unfolds the unknown story of the women’s underground operation in Auschwitz-Birkenau. A story of feminine heroism, resistance, and tragedy, told through the eyes of Anna Wajcblum Heilman, Estusia’s sister and youngest member of the women’s resistance.
