  • Neurodivergent Minds @ Midd

This is an ongoing drop-in group for Neurodivergent students who would like a place to “be” with others in an affirming and neurodivergent friendly space.

“Colonnaded Streets and Urban Theater in the Later Roman Empire”

Grand, colonnaded avenues proliferated as never before in leading cities of the later Roman Empire. These new urban thoroughfares were costly and complex investments that transformed the appearance and the experience of the cityscapes they adorned. Usually willed into existence by the ruling regime, they lent themselves to new forms of political theater intended to project and promote the more autocratic style of rule adopted by emperors from the third century CE.

  • Remixing the dictionary: Logeion and other adventures in Digital Classics

At the beginning of a new academic year, I want to reflect on how Logeion and other digital tools can be used in reading and learning Greek and Latin. I will show how different resources are integrated into Logeion, how others can be accessed from it, and how we try to make Logeion a tool, not just for reading with less friction, but also for learning and researching the languages.    Helma Dik Department of Classics University of Chicago
