    Celia Schultz, Professor of Classical Studies & History at the University of Michigan will speak about Roman rituals. Why they were so bothered by human sacrifice that they eventually outlawed the practice.

    For the new and not so new! The CTLR welcomes faculty of all ages and experiences to come enjoy lunch together and to engage with new faculty colleagues in a discussion about evaluating teaching. Teaching is one of a few key elements of faculty work, and in this lunchtime conversation, we’ll shine a light on what folks have gained through feedback from course response forms, in-class visits, mid-semester check-ins, etc, while also making space for how those evaluations can be tricky to navigate and learn from.

    Students interested in learning more about the Privilege & Poverty Academic Cluster and Summer Internship program (Shepherd Consortium and Local Placements) for 2024 can stop by the Center for Community Engagement for a lunch info session.
