Alice Kaplan, Sterling Professor of French, is a specialist of 20th century France. She works at the intersection of literature and history, using a method that allies archival research with textual analysis. She is also a literary translator.

DANC 0380 Dance Company of Middlebury, led by Prof. Christal Brown will partner with various departments on campus, faculty from Yale, Connecticut College and the University of Ghana to travel to Ghana. With the support of Africa Embodied, DCM will explore the rich cultural and artistic connections between the west coast of Africa and American culture through dance, film, photography, ethnographic research, and immersive collaboration.
