  • Hirschfield International Film Series - “If Only I Could Hibernate”

    Zoljargal Purevdash’s debut film, If Only I Could Hibernate, is the first Mongolian film to be shown in Cannes’ official selection and Mongolia’s entry to this year’s International Film Oscar competition. This coming-of-age drama takes place during a harsh winter in Mongolia and follows Ulzii, an academically gifted teenager from a struggling family. His journey of overcoming the odds leads to a difficult decision between supporting his family and fulfilling his dreams.

    Are you student who majors in Environmental Studies or just wants to do sustainability/environment related work while studying abroad? Do you have questions about what type of program you should choose, where you should travel to, what you should expect in classes outside of Middlebury?  Come listen to current students who have studied in different countries talk about their time abroad, what they wish they had known, what they got from their program, etc. and ask questions about their experience!

    Middlebury Wind Ensemble Concert

    Kick off the holiday season with the Middlebury Community Wind Ensemble, conducted by Jerry Shedd and featuring special guest artists Francois Clemmons (narrator) and Mary Bisson (horn). This 40-member ensemble will present a broad range of wind ensemble repertoire, including the Vermont premieres of a work composed by Jerry Shedd and one arranged by fellow Midd Winder Jack Clay, with the program culminating in a beloved holiday classic.
