    AFC Next Steps Week: Next Steps Peer Career Advising

    The AFC, the Center for Careers and Internships, Student Financial Services, the Creating Connections Consortium (C3) via Dr. Miguel Fernandez, Dr. Marcos Rohena-Madrazo, and Dr. Clinton Cave have partnered to bring you a week full of insight on preparing for your next step. Whether that “next step” is a summer job, an internship, major career planning, mentorship and networking, your graduate school application, or just preparing for fall semester—they will share all the steps you need to take and information about the resources available to you!

  • The War in Ukraine: A Round Table Discussion

  • Watson Fellowship Information Session

    The Watson Fellowship provides funding for the year 2023-2024 to pursue an international, multi-country independent, self-designed project. To find out more, join Dean Lisa Gates for an information session on Tuesday, March 1 from 4:30-5:30 pm. You’ll learn more about what the Watson is and how to apply.     UVM’s Accelerated Master of Public Health (AMPH) Info Session

    Students interested in pursuing a Master of Public Health are invited to attend this information session with representatives of the University of Vermont (UVM) and the Middlebury College Global Health program. UVM has partnered with Middlebury to create a program that allows students to start their master’s degree the summer after junior year and complete the MPH one year after graduating, at discounted tuition.     Spend the summer enriching students ages 11-18 through experiences across the world.

    Apogee offers outdoor adventure travel to teens and young adults. Apogee provides students with well-designed hiking, biking, service, writing, and photography trips in spectacular locations throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, and Europe.

    Film Screening of "Human Flow"

    This epic film by renowned artist Ai Weiwei is a detailed and heartbreaking exploration of the global refugee crisis. Captured over the course of a year in 23 countries, the film follows a chain of urgent stories that stretches through Afghanistan, Greece, Iraq, Kenya, Mexico, Turkey, and beyond. From teeming refugee camps to perilous ocean crossings to barbed-wire borders, ‘Human Flow’ witnesses its subjects’ desperate search for safety, shelter, and justice. (2017, dir. Ai Weiwei, 140 min.)
