Required I-9 Form
Form I‑9 is a federal requirement used to verify your identity and authorization to work in the United States.
To complete it, log in to Oracle and begin your Onboarding Journey. The first task includes a link to HireRight, where you will fill out Form I‑9.
You must complete the form within three days of starting work. If it is not finished on time, you will receive a stop‑work order and must pause all work until both Sections 1 and 2 are completed.

What is the deadline to complete the Form I-9?
All employees must complete Section 1 of the Form I-9 no later than their first day of employment.
All employees must complete Section 2 of the Form I-9 no later than their third day of employment.
How do I complete Section 1?
Log in to Oracle. Log in with Middlebury email credentials, it will prompt you to do Multi-Factor Authentication. Click the dark blue Oracle tile, then click “Company Single Sign On”. From the home page, Click “Journeys” tile
Complete the first task in your onboarding journey titled “Initiate I-9 Verification”. Click on the “Go to Website” text and you will be brought to HireRight to complete your form. You will need to mark the task complete in Oracle once you submit the form.
How do I complete Section 2?
To complete Section 2, employees must present their original, unexpired documentation to an authorized representative of Middlebury College. The authorized representative will take a scan of the documentation and will complete Section 2.

Where can I go to complete Section 2?
Middlebury Employees: Visit HR at 75 Shannon Street, Middlebury, VT | Open Mon. - Fri., 8:15 AM - 5 PM EST
MIIS Employees: Visit HR at McCone Building, Room 221, 499 Pierce Street Monterey, CA | Open Mon. - Fri., 8:15 AM - 5 PM PST
Remote Employees: Contact HR@middlebury.edu if you need to utilize a CUPA Network Partner to complete section 2 of the I9 at location near you.
I already completed an I-9 for a previous position with Middlebury College. Why am I being asked to do a new one?
If it has been more than three years since your last I-9 was completed and there has been a break in employment, you are required to complete a new I-9.
Can I use copies or scans of my documents?
No, you must present the original hard copies of your documents.

1. You must enter a US address in Section 1, and it cannot be a PO Box.
