Award-Winning Animated Film

A new animated film by Jon Portman ’13 called Malady of Mine has won several awards and screened at festivals in the U.S., Prague, and Montreal. The film, which contains no dialogue, tells the story of a young painter who, burdened by a mysterious affliction, struggles to save his relationship, and ultimately, himself. Portman describes it as a “cautionary tale” riffing on the “myth of the troubled artist.”
