ITS is aware of a rash of scam text messages received on personal cell phones, claiming that the recipient has “packages awaiting delivery” or “Amazon gifts to be claimed”. The scam text messages include links to get phished. 

These text messages are indeed SCAMS! Please do NOT click on the provided links.

Examples:

Should you receive a similar text message on your personal cell phone, please delete the text message and/or block the number that texted the scam to you. Please do NOT click on the provided links.
