Tax Updates

The Federal, Vermont and California Tax Filing Deadline is: 4/18/22

For Nonresident Alien students/scholars/visitors: This year the college has contracted with Sprintax for the preparation of your Federal Income Tax Returns. Emails have been sent regarding the access code. If you have not received the email contact ISSS or the Tax Office. Reference the Sprintax presentation for support in the filing process.

_______________

Canadian students who will need a Form TL11a for the Tax Year 2021; please send a request to middleburytaxoffice@middlebury.edu

______________________

Fellowship Letters will be prepared and emailed by the end of February of 2022 for the Tax Year 2021.

___________________________________________

Be sure to enter and update your information in the FNIS system if you are a non-resident alien or international student, faculty or visitor. If you have not received an email introducing you to FNIS, please contact the Tax Office. REMEMBER to sign all requested forms and return them to the Tax Office to ensure correct tax treatment on income and other payments you receive from the college. If you fail to enter visa status in FNIS, the Tax Office will assume you are traveling on a waiver. This may result in a higher tax withholding on any payments.
