Parking Portal Information

Parking Portal login instructions:
Students, Faculty & Staff should click on the blue login button on the top of the parking portal page to access their account.
Visitors may also register a vehicle using the parking portal Temporary Visitor Permit.
First-Time Portal Access Instructions:
Upon logging into the parking portal for the first time, you will be directed to the Profile page. Please complete all required sections, including personal details, vehicle information, and insurance details. Once your profile is fully completed, you may proceed by selecting the “Order Permit” link.
If you receive a “No Permits Available” message, ensure that:
Your profile is fully completed.
There are no outstanding parking violations on your account.
For any technical issues, refer to the troubleshooting section at the bottom of the parking page.

Overview
This issue occurs because the browser has stored information that needs to be cleared. To resolve the issue, a hard refresh is required on a computer, OR using Incognito/Private mode is required on a mobile device.
How to do a hard refresh with various devices/browsers
Windows
While your browser is open, hold down the Ctrl key and click the browser refresh icon
OR
Press Ctrl + F5
Macintosh
While your browser is open, hold down the Shift key and click the browser refresh icon
OR
Press Cmd + Shift + R
iOS 17 – Private mode
- Open Safari on your iPhone.
- Tap the Tabs button.
- Swipe to the Private tab group button, then tap the tab that you want to open.
In iOS 16 or earlier – Private mode
- Open Safari on your iPhone.
- Tap the Tabs button.
- Tap [number] Tabs or Start Page to show the Tab Groups list.
- Tap Private, then tap Done.
Android – Incognito mode
- On your Android device, open Chrome
- At the top right, tap More New Incognito tab.
- A new window opens.
- On the left of the address bar, you’ll find the Incognito icon.

How come my vehicle information will not save
When filling out the drop-down fields select from the drop-down list instead of typing the information into the drop-down fields.
When on the order page after selecting the okay button on the rules and regulations I cannot seem to move forward the next button is grayed out
For summer term permits and or Fall term permits and temporary student permits or visitor permits have you selected the following:
Has the blue box that gives the time the permit is valid for been selected?
Has the start date been filled out?
I get the mismatch id error message what does it mean
mismatch id error message means that your account has not been set up in the parking system or your information has not been added to the colleges Single Sign on that is used to allow people to log into the parking system with the middlebury.edu credentials.
Email parking@middlebury.edu to ask them to check your account status. Provide them with the email address that you are using to log into the parking portal.
I get the no permits available message when I go to order a parking permit
You will get the no permits available message for the following reasons:
- Your account has not been set up for purchasing a permit.
- Your account has a hold placed on it due to unpaid parking violations.
- Your account has reached the maximum number of permits for the year.
How do I add another vehicle to my account and order a permit for it
Faculty/Staff Instructions
Adding a new vehicle instruction:
- Click on the parking portal link.
- Then click on the blue login button at the top of the page.
- Then click on the person icon at the top of the page.
- Then click on my account link.
- This should take you to the profile page. On the profile page add the vehicle information and the vehicle insurance information by clicking on the plus sign next to where it says vehicle.
- Once the vehicle information has been added you should be able to click on the buy permit link and order a permit for the new vehicle.
Student Instructions:
- Click on the parking portal link.
- Then click on the blue login button at the top of the page.
- Then click on the person icon at the top of the page.
- Then click on my account link.
- This should take you to the profile page. On the profile page add the vehicle information and the vehicle insurance information by clicking on the plus sign next to where it says vehicle.

Once the vehicle information has been added you should be able to click on the buy permit link and order a permit for the new vehicle if you do not have a current active parking permit. If you have an active parking permit add the vehicle information to the parking system and then email parking@middlebury.edu with the reason why you have replaced the original vehicle with this new one and the length of stay for the new vehicle. This will help determine if you will receive a temporary vehicle while the other vehicle is in the shop or a more permanent permit and the other permit on the old vehicle would be deactivated.
