Moonlight spilled on green grass

outside the Blue Room

where poetry was being read

to a small audience.

Sounds of revelry,

bursts of laughter,

emitted from The Barn

on the last night of school.

The Wooden Bridge

was illuminated by the Full Moon

as the stream sang

over rounded pebbles.

The Woods, deep and dark,

were redolent with myth;

when the sun rose,

rough bark of pine

glowed a peculiar red.
