Registration Details

Registration will open on November 4, 2019, and spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to register early. Registration will close on June 1, 2020.

All cancellations received by June 1, 2020 will be refunded in full. We regret that we cannot offer any refunds for cancellations received after this date. To cancel, please contact us at blse100@middlebury.edu.

If you are unable to access the online registration form, please email blse100@middlebury.edu. We will be monitoring that email regularly and will respond as soon as possible. If you include a phone number and best times to call, we’ll be happy to reach out to you that way.

Housing Options

On-campus guests will be housed in Bread Loaf dorm rooms in the Inn and cottages. Most of the rooms will be double-occupancy. A limited number of single rooms will be reserved for attendees on the basis of medical necessity; please indicate any medical housing needs within the space provided on the registration form. Please note that we cannot accommodate requests for particular buildings or rooms. Due to space limitation, we cannot accommodate children below the age of 17 on campus.

  • All rooms are equipped with single beds, desks, chairs, and closets and/or dressers. Bed linens (sheets, blankets, and pillows) will be provided.
  • Most bathrooms are shared. Guests should bring their own towels, toiletries, and hair dryers.
  • There is no air conditioning in the dorm rooms. You may also consider bringing a fan.
  • Middlebury’s athletic facilities are available for returning alumni and their guests aged 18+. Find the athletic facilities schedule.
  • The Inn’s Front Desk will be staffed until 11 p.m. Friday evening. If you arrive after that time, there will be a contact name and number posted at the Front Desk.
  • There is a wide variety of accommodation in the area, from campgrounds to lovely inns. We encourage you to book your stay early!

Bringing Guests

Reunion attendees may bring along one partner, spouse, or friend.

Although children are welcome to Reunion, they cannot be housed on campus due to space limitations. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult or other caregiver at least 13 years of age.

Children may attend all meals and music and/or theater events, but workshops, panels, and other academic sessions are open only to adults.

There will be no on-campus childcare available.

Pets are allowed on campus grounds provided they remain on a leash; however, pets are not allowed in college housing or other campus buildings unless you have a medical need.

What to Pack

Bread Loaf Reunion will be relaxed and casual. As you may recall, Vermont weather in June can be unpredictable, so pack clothing that will keep you comfortable in the case of hot, cold, or wet weather. Although some events may be moved inside, Bread Loaf Reunion will continue rain or shine.
