Summon and MIDCAT

Whether you want books, or newspaper articles, or images, you now can start in just one place. Summon is our newest and most effective tool for searching many resources at once, so we’ve put it right at the center of the library home page, or in the search box to the right.

MIDCAT is the library catalog and can also be used to search our local collection. Need help finding it?

Also useful is My MIDCAT, which can be used to renew items and check your holds, bookings, and reading history.

NExpress and Interlibrary Loan

Use NExpress when a Middlebury item is checked out, missing, or not in the catalog. It's fast and easy, and renewals are allowed.

Still can't find the item you need in MIDCAT or through NExpress? Request it through ILLiad; this service takes a little longer and renewals are typically not allowed. More info on Interlibrary Loan

Reserves

Thousands of books, videos, CDs, and articles are placed on Reserve every semester to support your course work.
