How did you choose to attend Middlebury? Divine intervention! I was nominated to the Posse Foundation my Junior year of high school by my college counselor. Three nerve-racking interviews and a lot of paperwork later, I was matched to Middlebury through the Posse program. I decided to accept the admissions offer because I was excited to be a part of the wonderful community that I believe Midd fosters. My road to Midd was unconventional and full of twists and turns but this institution has become like a second home to me.

What did you do this summer? The first part of summer I was finishing up my semester abroad in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The rest of it I spent as a Human Resources and Research intern in Boston

Is there a J-Term experience that stands out as especially memorable? Towards the end of J-Term the Black Student Union attends a 3 day Black Solidarity Conference at Yale. The conference features guest speakers and workshops catered to Black identifying college students from a variety of academic institutions. We spend the weekend socializing, networking, learning and bonding. By far, my favorite J-Term experience was attending the conference my first year. It was great to have the opportunity to meet so many new people and explore topics and issues that affect Black college students.

One Fun Fact About You: I climbed and swam in the waterfall that inspired Tarzan….And yes, it was VERY dangerous and I am lucky to be alive.
