Additional Application Requirements: German for Singers

In addition to completing the application for the 7-week German immersion program, applicants to the German for Singers Program must also submit the following:

Expanded Essay

Share your reasons for wanting to participate in the German for Singers program in particular, and your career goals. Incorporate this information in your answer to the application section titled “Reasons for studying chosen language.”

Audition Tracks

Singers must submit a recent recording of three representative examples of their vocal work. At least one of these examples should be an art song, and one an opera aria. At least one must be from the German repertoire or in German. Format for submissions must be MP3, or if you plan to submit a video file, please upload it to one of the usual outlets (example, YouTube or Vimeo) and send the link instead of the file.
