Hebrew for Lifelong Learners

This three-week course combines a curriculum designed specifically for adult students with the rigorous immersion environment of the Middlebury Language Schools and the Language Pledge. Our focus on the spoken language encourages rapid mastery of modern Hebrew grammar and vocabulary.

Throughout the day, students and professors interact in the classrooms, dining halls, and during cocurricular activities. Daily classroom instruction is divided into morning and afternoon sessions. In the late afternoon and evening, students can attend lectures, performances, and films. Students have the option to earn one unit of credit (three credit hours).

Admission is for one summer and cannot be deferred to a future year. Admission to Hebrew for Lifelong Learners is entirely separate from admissions to the School of Hebrew intensive and graduate programs and from the Language Schools.

This course is not intended for current undergraduate students. Admission to this program is by selection only. If not selected, applicants will be considered for the intensive 7-week language program and may be asked to submit additional information.

All enrolled students must abide by the language pledge and must participate in cocurricular activities. All enrolled students must attend orientation and Language Schools Convocation.
