With sites in Madrid, Logroño, and Córdoba, the School in Spain offers a wide range of environments for academic immersion and cultural exploration.

Since its founding in 1951, Middlebury’s School in Spain offers students the opportunity to combine coursework with immersion in Spanish language and culture. Students can tailor their experience through study at one of our three locations, flexible housing options, and engaging co-curricular opportunities. Students in Spain become part of the local community and experience modern Spain first-hand.

The program is designed for students that have achieved an intermediate high to advanced low level of Spanish. All students adhere to the Middlebury Language Pledge® while abroad. The Pledge shows a commitment to linguistic immersion and is the key to students’ successful language development and cultural integration into their host city.
