The third annual International Politics and Economics Symposium will gather scholars for a series of discussions on September 12.
Included are new works by veteran authors, among them Peter Cooley, Stephen Dixon, Debora Greger, Bob Hicok, and Carl Phillips.
This year’s Alumni College offered topics ranging from the mountain geology of the Northeast to the foods and “foodways” of Italy.

On a warm, sunny Labor Day 587 first-year students moved into their residence halls to begin Middlebury orientation.
The College will host a memorial service on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 3 p.m. in Kirk Alumni Center, followed immediately by a reception at the Squash Center.
