Creature Creation
This is less of a class and more of a facilitated time to ask ourselves “what else?” We will mobilize the body and generate heat so that we may move through new versions of ourselves. Through prompts, games, and material we can move collectively and have dance do what it needs to do for us.

This talk consists of two parts. In the first, Ata offers an analysis of Morteza Motahhari’s theology. A prominent student of Ayatollah Khomeini, Motahhari is often regarded as the intellectual forefather of the religious ideology that the Islamic Republic adopted in the post-revolutionary period as it consolidated its monopoly over public space.

Ballet returns to the Dance Department this Fall. Classical Ballet technique in traditional ballet class structure. No pointe shoes, please. PE credit is available for attendance at 8 classes. Previous dance experience in any form is recommended.

Shannon Palmer will demonstrate how a kimono and its components are layered, tied, and worn for different occasions. Palmer has studied the intricacies of wearing kimono for many years and worked in a formal kimono rental shop during her time in Japan. Dressing model: Josie Coan ’29.
