Shannon Palmer

Raised outside of Seattle, Washington, Shannon earned her B.A. in East Asian studies from Oberlin College and her M.Ed. in higher education administration from Northeastern University. Prior to joining the Middlebury admissions team in 2022, she taught elementary and middle school English in Japan before returning to admissions work for a small college in Florida. In her free time, she can be found exploring new hiking trails in Vermont’s mountains, baking, playing tabletop roleplaying games, and spending cozy afternoons reading fantasy novels or historical fiction with her husband and cat.
