Our cats have been Zoom-bombing since 2020, and it’s about time they get the spotlight they deserve. In this fun series, we will introduce you to the felines owned by Middlebury Library staff.

Cecil's Blue Steel

Coloration / Breed:
Grey with a little white, domestic short hair

Place of Origin:
Homeward Bound in Middlebury

Adopted by:
Kellam Ayres, Library Reserves Coordinator and Liaison to Bread Loaf

Anything with catnip

Special Talents:
Yowling for his meals, greeting us at the door like a dog, eating food off the floor (also like a dog), and being kind to his young human siblings

Excellent at giving “Blue Steel

Super helpful puzzle buddy

Loves to cuddle, groom, and wrestle with his life mate, Flip, who is about half his size
